Akanksha Laroiya is a Regional Planner by profession. Her current role in the CITIIS Program Management Unit is to co-lead Monitoring and Evaluation Component of the Program. In addition, she is responsible to support in overall operations; conduct technical research; coordinate with stakeholders; and assist in daily tasks with regards to program implementation. Previously, she was associated with the Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi, where her key responsibilities included data collection; performing spatial and statistical analyses and conducting research on ‘Sustainable Development’ and its varied aspects. She has co-authored a book titled ‘Cities and the Sustainable Development Goal 11’. Furthermore, she was involved in the preparation of Integrated Cluster Action Plans under Shyama Prasad Mukherji Urban Mission for five clusters in Rajasthan. She has done her Master of Planning (with specialisation in Regional Planning) with Gold Medal and Bachelor of Physical Planning with General Proficiency Prize, from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.

Jitendra is the Procurement Specialist for CITIIS at NIUA. He has worked with various organisations which include CPWD, UNDP, IPE Global and MoRD. As part of his long career, he has also travelled to several states in India and worked with people at the grassroots level. He studied Civil Engineering at MNIT, Jaipur and IIT, Roorkee.

Abdul Mabood is having more than 4 years of administrative, finance, and accounts experience working in different sectors. At present, he is handling the administrative and Accounting activities for CITIIS program in NIUA. "Prior to joining NIUA, he has worked as an Accountant with educational institutions based out of New Delhi". Before entering the professional arena, he did his bachelor's in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia and has received an MBA in Finance degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be a University).

Poulomi is a Communications Specialist for CITIIS at NIUA. Previously, she assisted communications at AFD as an editorial consultant. She has also worked as a sub-editor for an English daily and a guest lecturer in English for the University of Delhi. She holds a Master's degree in English from Miranda House, University of Delhi and a Bachelor's in the same discipline from Hindu College, University of Delhi.

Radha is a Program Officer for CITIIS at NIUA. She looks after the cities of Kochi, Amaravati and Agartala. Previously, she was an India Smart City Fellow. Her experience lies in the area of urban governance, has travelled to various states in India to conduct research on the devolution of the 74th Constitutional Amendment, and worked extensively on the last-mile delivery of social schemes. Radha holds a Master's degree in Economics from Symbiosis International University, Pune.

Uttra is the Knowledge Officer for CITIIS at NIUA. Her experience lies in the domains of urban revitalisation, infrastructure development, culture-led development with her contribution in program management, project coordination, master planning and design, strategy formulation, project appraisals and proposal development. She was previously associated with EY LLP in their Government Practice of the Strategy and Transactions vertical where she was involved in projects with Central Ministries, State Departments/ Agencies, ULBs and Development Authorities. Uttra has done a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and Bachelors in Architecture from DCR University of Science and Technology, Murthal (Haryana State Govt. University). While pursuing her B.Arch., she was also part of the International Study Abroad Program with the University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

Md Asif Raza is a Sr. Program Officer at the National Institute of Urban Affairs. His interests are in the field of multi-criteria urban analysis, urban development, climate change, data and urban systems and processes. He has over five years of experience in urban policy-focused action research. At NIUA, he is involved in the CITIIS project. In the CITIIS Program Management Unit team, Asif is responsible for overall program operations in the respective cities, coordinate & communicate across stakeholders, and assist in multiple tasks related to CITIIS program implementation & delivery. Before CITIIS, he was with the SDIC project team at NIUA, where he was responsible for objective deep-diving in data-driven processes, conduct strategic studies and process tracing of project components. He has developed & conducts specific training modules on data visualization and analytics. He enjoys exploring urban systems and understanding complex processes within the urban development projects lifecycle. Previously he was associated with Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has also worked at Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy, CEPT University Ahmedabad. He has extensively worked on the development of a graduated benchmarking model for energy consumptions in commercial buildings in India; Assessment of the city level energy projections and savings potential; Literature reviews for Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change; and Multi-criteria scenario development for cities. He is always ready for complex discussions around data and urban phenomena. Asif has three conference papers and three numbers of technical reports to his credit. Asif is an alumna of CEPT University Ahmedabad. He holds a Masters in Technology Degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development.

Akanksha Singh is a Communications Specialist for CITIIS at NIUA. She comes with more than 14 years of experience in both the government and private sectors. She spent 11 years as Manager - IEC at UIDAI (Aadhaar project). She has also worked with the National AIDS Control Organisation, as Consultant IEC & MS, the Zee Network, and Big 92.7 FM (Adlabs). Akanksha holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication and a Bachelor's in English (Hons).

Suchit is the State Coordinator for Odisha under the CITIIS program at NIUA. In this role, he is working towards the capacity-building of ULBs in Odisha. He comes with three decades of experience in the development sector. He has been involved in training, research and the implementation of various projects in both urban and rural areas which have taken him to more than 11 states in India. He has also led disaster response projects supported by national and international agencies. Suchit completed his Post Graduation in Social Work from Utkal University and has undergone training in NGO Management at IIM, Kolkata. He has also been a part of a training course on Participatory Planning and Monitoring conducted by IDS, Sussex and Resettlement and Rehabilitation by ASCI, Hyderabad.

Naim Keruwala, an economist by education is an Urban Management and Public Policy professional with over 12 years of diversified sector experience. He currently leads the CITIIS program as a Program Director. His other key engagements include: - Member of the Jury for India Smart Cities Award 2020 by MoHUA, Govt of India; Member of the Steering Committee for a Indo-French research project titled "Urban Governance in India through the prism of 100 Smart Cities Mission"; Team Lead for the "Inclusive Cities Civic Innovation Accelerator" project; and Visiting lecturer for Urban Economic Development at the Symbiosis School of Economics, Pune. As an avid commentator on urban issues, his research papers and articles have been published by UNESCO, Business Standard, Youth Policy Labs, CCDS and Cambridge Scholars among others. He is an Associate fellow of The Royal Commonwealth Society, a member of the Commonwealth Youth & Gender Equality Network (CYGEN) and an alumnus of Global Shapers Community and AIESEC respectively. He is also a recipient of the Nuffic NFP Scholarship on Inclusive Governance funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on Smart Cities funded by the US Department of State.

Bibek holds an MBA in Infrastructure Management from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and comes with over 10 years of work experience in urban infrastructure, sustainable mobility, housing, policy interventions, investment promotions and transaction advisory. Previously, he was associated with Ernst & Young in the Government Strategy and Transaction vertical and has worked with Development Authorities, Smart Cities and State Housing Boards. At NIUA, he is managing the 12 projects under the CITIIS program which span across the thematic areas of sustainable mobility, public open spaces, urban e-governance, and social and organisational innovation in low-income settlements.
