Simran Purswani

Research Associate
Simran Purswani is a Research Associate at the National Institute of Urban Affairs. Her interests are in the field of urban planning, policies and design, urban disaster management, and resilient cities. She is currently working on creating a database of 266 cities across 14 sectors under Urban Outcomes Framework. Simran’s independent research also focuses on analysing the diminishing green spaces in Lucknow City through GIS, improving design parameters of parks and open spaces, and studying cultural heritage revival through urban transformation in Ayodhya City. Before joining NIUA, Simran worked with SG Analytics on the rating project of Corporate Environment, Social, and Governance. Simran majored in Architecture and holds a Masters in Urban Development and Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi.
