Sayak Dutta is a research associate at National Institute of Urban Affairs. He has completed his PhD degree from the School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, on Territorial Identity of Santhal Tribes. His research interest is on Indigenous Studies, Political Geography, Urban Geography and Identity Studies. His area of research experience includes eclectic fields, such as boundary studies, tribal studies, grassroots governance and urban studies. Sayak is trained and experienced predominantly in qualitative research methods and academic writing. He has conducted several extensive field works, both as part of a group as well as by himself. He is proficient in both literary as well as numerical analysis and retain strong command over English language. Sayak is well versed in end-to-end project management, proposal writing (including budgets) and managing & training field teams.
