Pawan Sharma is a Geographer - Urban Planner with over 12 years of professional work experience in land use planning, master planning, policy formulation, and government consulting advisory. He is currently working as the Project Coordinator (PMU) of the GEF7-funded UrbanShift Country Project at the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), widely regarded as the think tank for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India.  Previously at NIUA, Pawan worked as Sr. Urban Planner with GIS expertise on the Master Plan for Delhi- 2041, where he worked on the development of spatial policies, long-term spatial vision, and proposals for comprehensive assessments covering various thematic areas.  His role in the Master Plan for Delhi involves reviewing urban development policy, and related legal, and regulatory frameworks in Delhi to develop guidelines and policies.
