SAAHAS : zero waste solutions

Budget : 7,00,000
Innovation Type (Process/ Product): Product

About the Project:

The improver waste management in India has led to various problems in terms of air, water and soil pollution. The solution is to set up a proper waste management system. The project has been successfully piloted by Orohalli Village Panchayat. The major problem was that overflow of septic tank was contaminating the river and the ground water. There are lack of options for resource recovery from non-recyclables and gradual increase in the percentage of non recyclables in dry waste across the years.
