National Urban Learning Platform (NULP)

The अRban Learnathon was an ambitious national challenge launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) in collaboration with the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) on March 13, 2023. This initiative aimed to foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation among urban practitioners across India. By leveraging the National Urban Learning Platform (NULP), participants had the opportunity to showcase their expertise and contribute to a growing repository of urban solutions. Spanning 60 days, the challenge saw enthusiastic participation from a diverse array of stakeholders, including city and state governments, Smart City SPVs, academic institutions, Civil Society Organisations, and industry leaders. The Learnathon identified and recognized the top ten submissions in each theme and participation category, highlighting innovative and impactful urban solutions. These winning entries are now available globally on NULP, reinforcing India’s commitment to sustainable and collaborative learning in the urban sector. By providing a platform for continuous engagement, the अRban Learnathon has strengthened knowledge networks, empowered urban practitioners, and set a precedent for future capacity-building initiatives.
