The E-learning series targeting city officials focus on the governance and management processes required for addressing climate challenges. Aligning to the themes of CSCAF, the series had thematic experts and city officials to discuss the best practices in conserving biodiversity, rejuvenation of freshwater ecosystems, developing city climate action plans and implementing nature based solutions. The 10 part e-learning series conceptualized in association with WRI India demonstrated the benefit of cross-sectoral and multi-institutional collaborations for implementing climate actions.
Session 7: Inclusive Climate Action Planning
The session introduced how cities can mainstream climate action in planning processes and present a methodology to develop a climate action plan. The session also included experiences of a city government in building city/stakeholder interest for developing the city climate action plan.
Session 8: EV Charging Infrastructure in Cities
The session presented a framework for EV charging infrastructure implementation, energy mapping to assess EV charging infrastructure needs, technical features of tenders for public charging and a case study on Hyderabad’s pathway for deployment of EV charging.
Session 9: Local Climate Action - Plan, Prioritization and Market Outlook
The session introduced the three steps of conducting an assessment, developing an action plan, and implementing measures for reducing GHG emissions along with a demonstration of a self-assessment tool.
