Architect and Urban Regeneration professional, Anshul Abbasi is an alumnus of the Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi where he specialized in urban regeneration. Post his masters, he got associated with Connect Building Solutions, Noida as a senior architect, leading the architecture and interiors vertical- Studio Connect.
Anshul was a part of the India Smart Cities Fellowship (2019-2021) where he was involved in the development of the traffic monitoring tool - ENABLE. Additionally, he worked on several other projects of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs such as Ease of living and Municipal Performance Index 2020, The Urban Learning Internship Program (TULIP), and Climate Smart Cities Assessment Framework. During his fellowship period, he realized his interests in policy formulation and digital innovation.
Currently working as the Senior Associate with NIUA, Anshul’s responsibilities include policy development, data assessment and visualisation and communications for Climate Center for Cities.
