Banibrata Choudhury is a Junior Research Associate at NIUA. His interest areas are climate change and sustainable development, natural resource management. He has over 2 years of experience in the urban and environmental planning sector. He is currently engaged in baselining study for the Urban River management Plan for Kanpur, capacity building activities on decentralised wastewater management. He is also researching on best practices of riverfront developments. Prior to joining NIUA, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Environment Protection Training and Research Institute. There he was associated with climate change vulnerability assessment, water budgeting and auditing for Mizoram and Nagaland and capacity building activities related to climate change. Banibrata holds a Batchelors degree in Civil Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata and a Masters degree in Environmental Planning and Management from School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada.
