Punit Gandhi


Lead (Projects), Climate Centre for Cities

Punit Gandhi works as a Lead (Projects), at the Climate Centre for Cities. He is leading the development of Climate Action for five cities in India as well as the training and capacity of city officials around Climate Action Planning and Financing. Further, he is supporting the development of transformative climate action using a participatory approach in Visakhapatnam. He hosts a podcast called 'Understanding the Future' on the future of work as well as manages the Innovation Facilitation Centre to build the capacity of start-ups. He also supports the centre in developing policies, partnerships, assessment for energy and green building thematic areas and overall communications strategy and its implementation. He has previously worked as a fellow with the Smart Cities Mission, MoHUA and founded a company called Orgro Energy in the rooftop solar sector. He also worked briefly with Caravane Earth as an Energy Consultant. He graduated from the Delft University of Technology with a MSc in Sustainable Energy Technology.
