Anirudh Soni is working as a Research Associate under the Water and Environment Vertical at NIUA. His journey began with a Research Intern role at UN-Habitat, gaining invaluable insights into global urban development practices. Building upon his experience, he co-founded W-Drop, an urban infrastructure services planning and management venture funded by the Government of Gujarat under SSIP. With a professional degree in Civil Engineering complemented by a Master's degree in Urban Infrastructure Planning from CEPT University, Anirudh possesses a comprehensive understanding of planning and creating sustainable urban environments. Throughout his career, Anirudh has focused on sustainable water management in Indian cities, exemplified by his research project 'Equitable Water Supply Project' for Bhuj City recognized by the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board, Government of Gujarat and ultimately considering its implementation to enhance water supply within the city. Anirudh's expertise extends beyond research and project management. He is a trailblazer in integrating digital technologies with urban water management. He has spearheaded the development of various digital platforms such as online tools and dashboards at the national level, catering to cities, urban local bodies, and researchers. With a vision for inclusivity, Anirudh has been working towards the inclusion of artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms into the urban sector, ensuring the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies. Anirudh's passion drives him to explore innovative solutions and contribute to the advancement of sustainable urban living.
