NULP to be lauched in city on pilot basis

Visakhapatnam is one of the two pilot cities hand-picked to launch the National Urban Learning Platform (NULP) in the country. Pimpri-Chinchwad of Maharashtra is the second pilot city.

NULP is one of the key components of the National Urban Innovation Stack (NUIS), which will be implemented by the ministry of housing and urban affairs. The NUIS is expected to create an connect in the urban ecosystem through establishing a shared digital infrastructure among the smart cities of the country.

The NUIS will support several key programmes, including the India Urban Data Exchange, India Urban Connect, SmartProcure, Research and Innovation for Urban India, National Urban learning Platform, SmartCode and Smart Governance to name a few.
