Uday Bhonde is a project coordinator of NMCG project at the NIUA. He has 10 years of experience in sustainable urban water and sanitation management. He has published several research articles in peer reviewed international and national journals and prepared technical handbook, training manuals and policy paper. He is a life member of Indian Society of Remote Sensing. His interest ares are sustainable urban water management, disaster risk reduction, and promote innovations in urban WASH sector.
Prior to joining NIUA, he was a Deputy Programme Manager at CSE, New Delhi. Uday was awarded a scholarship by the Department of Science and Technology (DST),New Delhi. He is Doctorate in Geology from the M. S. University of Baroda and has accomplished Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Planning and Development.
